This is the pond just up the road from me, where I walk the dog in the morning. Sometimes the nicest things are right on your doorstep. Taken with the new Fuji 23mm F2.0:

Leaves are still on the trees up in northern Vermont. Some nice color, actually. X-E2, Zeiss Touit 32mm, processed in LRCC.

I love small towns. The one I'm in has 75000 people - way too big. I'd like to do more fishing, take walks, go to church - all those things that make life good. Growing up in an industrial town, it's hard to change, to get off the streets. Maybe someday...

I live about 20 minutes from a town of 50,000, with about 250,000 in the surrounding area. We have a few local parks big enough to spend a morning walking or biking in the woods, but my favorite haunts are 1.5 - 2 hours away. Nothing says scenery like a 1,000 foot deep gorge with a river running through it: https://www.nps.gov/neri/index.htm
