Favorite Black & White Photos

Here's a mix of my favorite black & white conversions. As with every category of photography I enjoy, I strongly favor the darker end of the exposure spectrum.

I love how black & white photography, in particular, provides light & shadow the opportunity to perform their magical duet.

The first shot is a favorite "forced-perspective" photo. This cemetery statue is no taller than three feet. I wanted to give the impression of a towering figure and what might appear as a hill in background is actually a section of mausoleums. A storm had just passed.
