Inspired by Mr Ripleysbaby’s recent train trip thread I dug out some photos from my trip to Glasgow 4 years ago & had a go at editing some of them

All taken with the Nikon E3200

I’ll add some more later on if they behave nicely for me

Not Sauchie hall St, ReD, in fact, don't even think that's Glasgow. Looks like Briar's happy hunting ground to me, up the High St in Edinburgh?

    Willow Tearoom pic is great

Apologies to ReD for adding to his Glasgow thread, but it seemed appropriate. I've ended up in Glasgow for this week (to attend a family funeral) and in between family commitments I always enjoy strolling this city. After heavy rain Monday it cleared in the evening, and with the long twilight this close to solstice there was some lovely light along the Clyde.

The second shot is a great example of how I often miss elements of a photo while taking the shot: in my focusing on light and composition, I completely missed the reflection of the "Armadillo" in the hotel behind it. All shots right off the card on my X2; don't trust my editing on an ipad for subtle light like this.

Just one more.... The wilds of Glasgow.... sometimes I just find landscapes even in cities.
