My son reckons I need to "sporty" my car up ……. you know it's that time in life and you'll take anything that you can get

He reckons that if I had the silver on my SAAB Aero painted black it would look "more sporty" ……. it's my "wind in your hair" (if I had any), summer carriage

    what do you all reckon?

As it is now - "gentlemanly"

I guess someone needs to keep the body shops in business. I think you should get all the black bits dipped in chrome (!) The car would look like liquid mercury.

A friend of mine taught me a lesson a number of years ago when it comes to cars - "one can never go wrong with the well regarded shade of 'Mid Life Crisis Red'". It is a lesson I may have to engage one day very very soon.

James don't wait too long to have your mid-life crisis or you'll be too old to properly enjoy it. I got mine out of the way when I was 33.

I sold my last car 12 years ago but I'd go all black, including the rims.

    Bill,

I have heard that crouching low in the driver's seat and wearing your hat backwards also helps the speed . . .

    Cheers, Jock

Have it wrapped! From chrome to camo and EVERYTHING in between is possible with vinyl wrap.

    Guess?
If the colour of the car determines the status of your mid life crisis, then I must still be having mine as I'm on my 3rd red car in a row, and still riding motorbikes. Which is quite good, because if it really is a mid life crisis it looks like I'm going to live to be 126

Bill, I agree with your son - the silver bits look far better in black but for complete "stealth" mode you need to be doing the Saab's wheels black as well  You also need a bucket hat - it's what all the best dressed convertable drivers are wearing this year.

Why ain't the bucket hat red? It's gotta be red. Red hats go faster.
