Off loaded the GXR. Today, I am waiting for the battery to charge for my new X-E1 18-55 combo. Will be cooked by 11pm. Looking forward to this!

(I am not yet a part of the tribe, but who knows .. that same kit has been sitting on my cart for a few days now.)

I will not get one. I will not get one. I will not get one.

Really, I need my 5D for a number of things, and I need a really portable camera, which the EPL5 is fulfilling. I just can't justify/fit an XE1 in there, but darn! They are SWEET!

Please post sample shots when it's charged! Did you get the m-adapter as well, and will you keep with the Leica lenses?

I gather that the GXR dalliance was only a short one then? Congrats on the new Fuji.

At $1100 for a body + 18-55mm lens the X-E1 is starting to look like good value. I just have nothing that I want to shed to justify/offset its purchase.

    +1 +1 +1

OTOH I keep looking at the K-5 and thinking... I really only use it occasionally because I feel guilty about having it, and *not* using it.

Sue, for whatever it's worth, the XE1 isn't superior to the K5 in terms of IQ. In my humble opinion. :)

    Agreed Armando.....100%

And especially not superior to the K5iiS.....I love the XE-1......but the Pentax is pretty special.

then since the K-01 has the same sensor, that $300 body is also as good.

Nice camera! Did you buy it local, or mail order?

Mail order. I revisited my idling cart, closed my eyes, and clicked Place Order button.

Maybe I just need to keep buying forward. I keep going back to gear I've been successful with, but then I miss the fun of exploring new cams with everyone else!

Looking forward to your pics. Just wish they had a portrait lens already with the system.
