Great photographers and their compact cameras

Thanks to all for this thread, I've spent the last hour or so reading, viewing, thinking. Conclusion: For some of us, the compact is the only thing that makes sense. It's all a bit of a business when you go out with your DSLR... I loved Charlie Waite's video, his commentary made absolute sense. Zoriah's article was also enlightening in many ways.

And, here's the thing... the best shots I have ever done were on compacts.. not on my DSLRs.

Guess what I am going to be doing soon :)

...and you won't regret it Sue, not for a second! The Pentax Ks are behind me and I've never, ever, looked back. I have regretted the sale of some previous cameras - notably the DP2s, GRDII and Oly 35SP - but neither the K20D nor the Kx have plucked a single heart string in remembrance.

Wise decision and you have my wholehearted support....if that means anything . Be keen to know what you end up keeping and whether you 'upgrade' any of the Fujis or Ricoh with your new found wealth ;)
