I got a new adapter for my camera after some good advice (a pentax one ) after I nearly broke the camera using a cheap one (previous thread). Here are a few flower pictures I took with the lens. Its very sharp and outperforming my pentax macro f4!so very pleased:smile:

As you'v ediscovered Nikki, a good copy is deadly sharp, and it looks like you've found yourself a good copy.
That first shot is particularly lovely - colour and composition

I have an early Helios 44 in the Zenit M39 SLR mount. It can be a bit dreamy and is light on contrast. Your one looks to be both sharper and a bit more contrasty.

thank you for your comments, I didnt use extension tubes ( i think im dangerous with any sort of adapters ):smile:This lens was attached to a zenit- E , but I find the colour of the pentax cameras great - I actually got this camera to shoot flowers! but I find it does black and white nicely too so maybe Ill try it on the street - still big and heavy though !I believe the Helios is a copy of a Zeiss lens !
