Heron

    Cycling home from work each day, I see a lot of birds. I have my eye on a bird of prey that seems to know when I don't have my camera, and only appears on such occasions. Today I was fully prepared to get the little blighter, and he was nowhere to be seen. Luckily, I was fortunate enough to capture this heron that was fishing at the side of the road:

    These are such graceful birds, but so easily spooked. What camera/lens did you catch this beauty with?

    A beautiful Great Blue Heron - at least that's what he looks like to me. Amazingly prehistoric looking and graceful as they fly and soar. Good for you for this photograph!
