Hi all, originally from Bavaria, I worked several years in L.A. (movie business). I'm now spending most of my time in Franconia as a privateer, but still enjoy to travel. I got rid of all my very professional and very expensive camera gear in the past millennium. After a few years of not taking any photographs at all, I returned with a just-for-fun approach, merely using cheap P&S and all-in-one cameras. I startet with Lumix bridge cameras, then moved to Fujifilm (F200EXR, S100FS, HS10, HS20EXR etc.). When Fujifilm came up with their X100, I had to have one of those, as well. And I'm already in line to get one of the first X10 production models. For me, it's all about having fun and enjoying taking memorable pictures, basically for myself, my family and my friends. I definitely enjoy taking pictures with simple, inexpensive, tiny cameras. Could I take better pictures with gear worth $60,000 and an assistant schlepping it over snowy mountains (like we did in the 90s, when I got paid for all of it)? You bet! But where's the fun in that? I love to keep it simple.
