Hiding ugly escalators the James Bond way

    These have obviously been present every time I've been in the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney, though I've never noticed them until I had to use them today. I started getting a headache staring at them.

    It reminds me of the invisible car in James Bond 'Die Another Day' (an Aston Martin I think it was)

    you should be able to figure it out...
    I was thinking you might be the reflected guy walking along with the coat, maybe shooting to the side without looking into the camera. But then I realized you were probably just below the intersecting point where the two escalators come together so you're invisible...

    I love the way the architectural elements in the reflection line up pretty well with the ones on the opposite side of the mall. This shot definitely had me looking for a while...

    Ah. Jaguar was is. My mistake then. Perhaps I'd just rather have the Aston Martin.

    I think you're right Ray. I must have been just under the intersection of the two. That was actually unintentional. Between waiting for the escalators to be empty, and big old me squeezing in between tables and people to take the shot from the best position I could, I clean forgot to look for myself in the way.

    nope, Aston Martin Vanquish it was... the bad guy in the film does drive a Jaguar though.
