My son has a shift at his school's radio station (affiliated with National Public Radio) so I showed up early one night to see him in action. Kids are completely different when they're in the zone - he was animated, affable, it was pleasantly surprising to see him doing something he likes. I kept it old school with a "Fifty" but it was tight framing - the sound booth was no larger than a closet.

He talks with his hands, must take after his Mom. :D

  2. Neat. Is this something he wants to do as a career, or just something to fill the time?

Thanks! For now, he's exploring extracurriculars, finding his place I guess. But I can tell when he really likes something because he makes sure he has a ride in the evening to his shift.

Thanks Luke. This is the kid who didn't smile for the first five years of his life, so I'm grateful to see him being emotive around any activities.
