Film Homage to the Creator of Serious Compacts...

Just bid goodbye to my Barnack (IIIf-rd) and Summicron 50mm.

Wasn't its fault, I simply stumbled on a Bessa R3A priced too temptingly and got a CV40/1.4 (S.C) for a handy trade - and the Bessa is just so nice in hand and on the eye.

Was one of the sadder partings I've felt with camera gear. There is something about those old cameras. But I like the new owner and know its gone to a great home….another leg in a life that started in 1953…very happy I breathed new life in it - well Youxin Ye did…but I paid ;).

Here's my final homage to Oskar Barnack - a photo taken hours before packing it off. Good bye my old friend.
