How do you save ..then access custom settings..

    .. for sharpness, saturation, etc. I have found it in the menu 'Custom Picture Control' ..made some tweaks, now saved in something called Standard C1 ...but do not know how to access C1?! I got David Busch's Field Guide, but it's more an expanded brochure rather than a fast path to quality photos, so that does not tell me. Perhaps one of you can enlighten this newbie. Thanks.

    Jim, Nikon makes you do 2 steps instead of one.
    Now that you have saved your setting in the custom menu under Standard C1, you now go in the picture Control menu and select Standard C1 and click Ok.
    It's right above Custom picture control in the menu.

    I think thats one thing I really don't like about the Nikon 1 cameras, the settings are really not very intuitive. I would hope that the DSLR series, and even the most basic of compacts, are more so.
