How much faster is f/0.95 vs. f/1.7?

In stops, it depends how you count it.
1.7 - 1.4 - 1.2 - 0.95 would get my vote.

Significantly faster is my guess, at least in practical terms. That's based on a noticeable difference observed by me between f1.4 and f1.8 on the "tiny" m43 sensor. Even more of a difference on a FF sensor then.
