I was going to add a flickriver badge in my signature, but I can't see the image in the preview.
Is this by choice in order to avoid signatures getting huge?
    Thanks

    Alf,
I don't think you can put an image in your sig.
Check with Amin. He may know a work around.

Doesn't look like it's enabled in the Admin CP. Any one of the Admins should be able to activate it.

That's up to Amin, not the admins.

Alf, there are two issues here - images in sig and html code in sig. We'll take a look at both issues and get back about this.

Because to me it looks unsightly.
It's also easier for spammers to work the forum.
    That's why!

I visit forums where the threads have become unreadable because of the visual clutter, and abominably slow to load because of the size and number of sig images ... having said that, there are usually means of limiting how big the permitted images are in a sig (but of course if you permit html you provide a means to link to large images) ... I don't like 'em much either

the issue of sig's that are too large is taken care of by limiting the signature image size.

actually a site like this one, there really isn't a need to allow it anyway.

Less is more, generally speaking. (We've got avatars for images as well as the option for one's profile picture.)

Agreed. Just noticed as I was adding it across the hall and here.
