Saw this rose in the garden as I was closing up for the season the other day.
I cut it and took it inside for a photograph.
There aren't many left after a good frost.

It's not technically a great shot, but it's one of my favorites. My wife with the dogs sleeping on her in late afternoon or early evening....

To paraphrase Kyteflyer - don't know if it's technically perfect or not, but it's a great shot.
Stitched from five or six shot, if memory serves me well.
