Just the right time to arrive at the Observatory, light and heat burning from everywhere. My record in drinking a softdrink, 8 seconds for a 500ml bottle!

But the place is a wonder, evident manifestation of numbers.

Of course, in this place there is no hiding from the sun.

And nearly everything is very white.

    Then, on to darker places.

I remember seeing this years ago ona tv programme about mathematics and being fascinated by it -- I envy you Alf (and - great handling of the extremes of light and dark here)

How common is this thought during trips?

However, when I look back, I keep thinking "Why didn't I do more when I was in that place??".

Alf, can you tell us more about that time teller or ? in your first image? It's beautiful, that's for sure.

I've slowly been making my way through your adventures over on Flickr... What a trip you had!

Sure. It's a Yantra to calculate the position of the sun. The Jantar Mantar Observatory houses two for the different moments of the year.

Alf, a wonderful set as usual, thanks for sharing.

My favourite is no.3, the B&W conversion is very effective and IMO helps the photo. I love how the diagonal lines lead you across the photo from one side to the oether too :)
