Konica 35-100mm f/2.8 Varifocal... madness...

    Well, I couldn't resist. I just picked up the Varifocal monster from Konica. I have a GH1, but I don't know if it's even safe to use on it. It'd be more like mounting the camera to the lens than vice versa.

    Anybody here use this thing? I can find almost no info on it....

    I would love to see some shots from this. Konica lenses were very good and a 35-100mm f/2.8 varifocal lens would be very useful.

    Wow. Got this monster in last night. I've gotta say, it's really a piece of art. The focusing and zooming are incredibly smooth, and it appears very sharp through the range (although all I did were some "HEY GIRLFRIEND! *FLASH*" shots last night)

    If you hold it near the back of the lens it's actually pretty well balanced on the camera. Although I don't see this being used a lot without some kind of tripod situation.

    I'm excited to shoot some video with this thing.
