I was actually looking at these kinds of photos last week.. it's something I want to try but I self photograph so poorly. Just haven't picked up the knack yet for creating something worthwhile. Maybe I will add that to my personal list for October. Not necessarily the jumping but at least some kind of self portrait..

I'm paunchy and balding and certainly won't win any beauty contests.....doesn't stop me. I am what I am..... a goofball with a camera.

Fantastic! Some kind of greenish glow radiating from oven might add even more fun:)

It's not how I look, I am average.. it's that I can't seem to self photograph properly.. I did that despair one for may with the gun and most of it was post processing because the image turned out so badly. I am the one that takes the photos here which means there are very few photos of me, probably not even one a year. I recently told my daughter I should start self portraiting.. just so I exist in the pile of photos and digitals I have. And your photos reflect some skill Luke..

Dog keeps looking at you like what IS he doing?? Usually levitation involves jumping or dropping.. seeing your position here and thinking what went up has to come down, a pet walking beneath you is a great effect but I keep thinking don't fall, don't fall now!

Well, since these levitation shots are composites, there's usually one shot where I'm NOT levitating and I'm coaxing the dog to look at the spot where I will be levitating in the photo (if that makes any sense). I think it helps to sell the idea that everything in the frame is happening in real time and a single shot.

Well I am glad you told me that for the dogs sake and an insight into the mystery of how you are pulling these off so well.. maybe I can actually accomplish this kind of shot now that I've had a brief of it.

The dog loves it because you are about to crush the cat?

Ah I see now...I've done some levitation shots (the where you jump kind) and I was wondering how you got the oven shot without smacking your head on the oven door.

You mean you really aren't floating ... ??? Man, I am so crushed ... now I have to send correction notifications for all those emails I sent out.

Gary, don't misunderstand me. I am actually floating (many years studying and intense concentration and mind training), but sometimes I need to take an extra shot just to get the dog's expression properly ;)
