Sony NEX-C3 Field Report
Man, you're fast!
Reichmann (the guy behind LL) is a favourite of mine. I enjoy his photography, and have subscribed to his video journals for a long time. I find his reviews very useful. I don't always agree with his conclusions, but I like that his views are based on real-world experience as a photo-journalist, fine art photographer, street shooter and commercial photographer.
A visit to his studio is highly recommended. Nice guy.
The review is pretty fair. He highlights the strengths and weaknesses of the platform. His biggest complaint as I well understand is the menu driven software. Once you become used to it, it is no big deal, but navigating through menu's can be frustrating at first.
True, although (without speaking on his behalf...) I suspect he would argue this means a heavy compromise on the photographer's part. I have become used to selecting a function via a button and then cycling through a menu, but this doesn't mean it is my preferred method of operating. Operation via menus is cheaper for camera makers, but, I feel, much less effective for photographers. But, as you say, you can become used to it.
