Seeing as the Olympus E-P7 is possibly on the way with a built in viewfinder I thought I would pop up a mock up of what it may (or may not) look like!

A handsome looking beast, but I assume that any built-in viewfinder will be of the electronic variety. Has an OVF been rumoured?

Yes I'm sure it will be but I just thought this would look better

Although I am fully Fuji'd, I can only applaud - and encourage - anything that hints of an OVF ;)

An OVF gives a rangefinder-style camera its proper complement of 'eyes' in my opinion. It just looks nicer.

Agreed but sadly I really can't see it happening.

I'm still waiting for an Olympus Trip-D with a fixed 17mm f1.8 lens. That I would but in a heartbeat. In the meantime I'm looking at keeping the 17mm f1.8 on either the new P7 or a silver PL7 which also looks the nuts! I'm not overly bothered about a viewfinder but it would be nice.

The Olympus Trip 35 was my starting point in photography, and it's a design classic in my opinion. Any modern version of the Trip will be of great interest to me, but somehow I think it will require batteries this time !
