more Hacklebarney waterfalls; my camera in a tree; unusual praise for a lens

    Another too-brief stop at Hacklebarney State Park. The waterfall area has oodles of wonderful rocks, I'm certain a more capable and artisitc photographer than I could make some wonderful images. I, on the other hand, take the obvious. :biggrin:

    One interesting aspect of the Pentax 18-55 kit lens is that it is unusually good stopped down... to f/27!

    For this photo, I shimmied about 4 ft up a leaning skinny tree and attached the K-01 using the Joby SLR-Zoom mini-tripod. The camera is suspended 8 ft above the ground.

    I know what you are saying about the Pentax kit lens. It is unusually good, entirely. My WR version keeps me happy.

    I would've thought that, 2 or 3 stops beyond f/11, diffraction would have taken a heavy toll on IQ, but that wasn't the case.
