Out walking today with the OMD+100-300 and noticed dragonflies in abundance so with a bit of stealth and the 100-300 at the long end I managed to capture these images.

    Thanks both,

it was great to be able to capture these as they are normally fast flying and elusive when humans are around but today was warm so they were obviously enjoying the sudden hot day.

All three are great, but that first image is sensational. I had no idea that they were such beautiful creatures.

very beautiful indeed. The first one stands out for me because of the light on the wings, focus on the head and the DoF. And the background colors are superb.

Thank you all for the kind comments.

The OMD+100-300 is a great combo and they worked well together to get these results, backgrounds were hedgerow & trees and the wide apertures allowed a nice deep coloured bokeh to help the subjects stand out.

    Thanks Dave,

Much appreciated and certainly worth following these elusive little flyers.
