Welcome, Tom! Thats a lovely shot. Seems to me that RX1 is just a magnificent bit of kit (and clearly, the photographer behind it is pretty darned good, too!)

  5. Welcome and good choice on the RX1. You can't beat a full frame sensor! except for the Sigma DP cameras perhaps!

  6. Well done, nice work!

Thanks guys. I used to have Canon full frame, 5DII, with a bunch of "L" lenses, downsized to Sony A77 to save my aching back, then downsized further to Fuji X-E1, and now as a companion camera the RX1. I think the RX1 will become my main go-to camera as time goes on.

Beautiful - I'd like to jump right in right now!

I'm almost afraid to see one of these RX100s in real life. Thankfully, I don't know anyone around these parts who has one.

Glad you found your way here, Tom.:drinks:

Now wait a second Tom, that is not the Serious Compacts spirit. Not at all! OK well maybe you can say so-and-so is your go-to camera, but caveat emptor is "my go-to camera for now". However your mind and sights must be firmly tethered on the next camera with an "X" and a "1" in the name and to keep up with today's rigours maybe an "S". So in your case your go-to camera is the Sony RX1s - please don't be distracted by the fact it's not been announced yet. Just thought I'd set you straight for a long and illustrious career on here

It's great to be back and setting clear the path...
