Sony Nex 5N vs Canon 5D at Fun Fun Fun Fest

During this year's Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, TX I shot with my trusty Canon 5D (original) with the 35mm 1.4 L lens and the 5N with a Voigtlander Nokton 40mm 1.4, Minolta Rokkor 135mm 2.8 and a Minolta Rokkor 50mm 1.4.

You can see all the photos here: Fun Fun Fun 2011 - a set on Flickr

What interests me is that without peaking at the camera model info, these images look for the most part like they came from the same camera.

One other note is that the NEX 5N did a better job metering mixed lighting environments (read flashing stage lights) than the Canon and it was really nice seeing a live view of the image before I snapped it. You will notice that most of the daylight shots are with the 5D, simply for the AF - once the new Zeiss 24mm comes out, the combination of good glass, AF and live view is going to be a game changer for my work.
