This one is taken with the Zeiss 100mm macro with a Nikon mount, adapted to the NEX.

It is backlit by morning sun, and the in camera flash used for fill.

    Great one, Dan!

Do you happen to remember your flash output?

As for the flash, I just popped it up and let it do its automatic thing. I did have to try a few shots until I found the best aperture. My first shots overexposed substantially. This shot was shut down to f8+ (I think). But the auto ISO went to 160. I could have gone into the menu to set it for fill flash, but I do not like menus, so I just played with the aperture until it worked.

Thanks, Dan. I tried something similar and ran into the same thing on overexposure. I guess I just need to experiment more with the aperture.

I was so pleased with this new acquisition, Leitz Canada Summicron 90 f2 and this result, it's the one thing that keeps me from trading everything for an RX1... almost!
