Night Shots; Post 'em Here!

Millennium Bridge, London
Looking towards Tate Modern Gallery. Not often snapped from the Thames shoreline. Steep climb down steps with no handrails, at night, loaded like a packhorse..........hairy! Taken with the Panny GF2 and 14mm pancake lens.

Tonight I had forgotten every camera but my cell phone, the Nokia E6 in this case.
The EDOF lens setup gives very fast shot times, allowing me to time this shot to catch the SUV streaking past.

My apologies, but my first night shots with a full framed 5d mkii and 24-105L lens (purchased 2nd hand last week. I thought the GF2 +25PL was good, but as the saying goes.....a good big one beats a good little one every time. I ain't giving up the GF2, but the 5d is going to see a lot of action.

Understandable with results like these!!!

@Pete, Lili : Thank you for the comments! This was a difficult shot as I needed a 6 seconds exposure and didn't have a tripod with me, I had to be creative and use street furniture to keep the X100 still and straight :)

These are dead of night, remarkably little ambient light, handheld with the X-Pro 1:

Really hard to describe how little ambient light is actually present in these shots. They all looked SOOOO dark when I took them that I could barely believe what I was seeing in the EVF after shooting them, and just assumed they'd have to be a noisy mess once I saw normal sized versions on the iPad. I'm pretty sure they were all shot at 6400.

I really like night shots. Here are some of my attempts, with XZ-1 at the 'Glow festival', where they project light/animations (and music) on city buildings (which of course attracted thousands of amateur photographers (carrying DSLR's on tripods). A disadvantage I find is the ugly sky colour caused by the artificial lighting.

Hand held, at the most difficult shots I had my camera on ISO 800, exposure about 0,5 seconds.
I tried some cropping, sharpening and noise reduction etc. in Lightroom.

I took several hours this week-end to go through, sort, and clean up my collection of photographs of the last few years. Deleted countless crap images I can't stand to look at anymore. This is one of those I salvaged, taken in early 2011 in London. I rather like the mood.
