I had to shoot today at 10mm on my 10-30 zoom.
It just made me remember I like to shoot 28mm on full frame.
This isnt a very good image. It's also a jpeg with no pp except minor sharpening because I resized it, but I do like the fov.
I believe I've read that the 10 2.8 is better corrected then the 10-30 VxwcjiS.

Hi Walter. I found the 10-30 at 10 just as good as the 10mm prime in all but faster aperture. The 10 is tiny though and very robust.
    Worth having.

Thanks, I think the size difference is my main reason for wanting it.
I've seen them for as low as 120 so the price is right also.
I really wish they would make a 35 mm f2 equiv prime also. I'd buy it.

Agreed, the lack of a 35mm equivalent prime was one of the reasons I got rid of my Pentax Q and it would be the perfect companion to my V1. I think the 18.5mm (50mm eq) lens is a cracker, but a 35mm eq would be great. It might even stop me eyeing up the used Fuji X100 offerings on eBay...

I was selling one last week (I had somehow ended up with two of them, and I really only needed one). But it's sold already. But you can get them for generally just around $100 or so. It's tiny and it's sharp.

BTW, I disagree that the kit lens is as good at 10mm. The kit lens is actually at it's worst at the edges at 10mm. For me, the 10mm and the 30-110 is a good basic kit. Any Nikon 1 body other than the V2 is pocketable with the 10mm lens on it.

I love my 10mm, but sometimes I'd like to go a bit wider which is why I have the 6.7-13 on my shopping list. A 5mm prime would be nice.
