I can't afford the Nikon 32 1.2, so I'm thinking about using this instead.
I need a thin adapter before I can properly test it. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to order a chip or not for the adapter.
Please be honest I don't want to waste money on a chip if the lens isn't good enough.
    Both shots are wide open.

1st shot is standing on heavily shaded porch shooting into bright light.
2nd shot is shooting into the sun. You can see the sun in the photo just above the bend in the tree.
No hood or filter was used S7AJT5o. lRhvIar.

Nice. You're giving me the impetus to break out my four old adapted lenses (3 are in the 50-55mm range, alas, not a lot of variety there) and giving it all another try.

Thanks, it is a lot of fun.
You should give your lenses another try.
I need to post a pic of this lens mounted on my J1. It's small.
The lens was designed for machine vision use.

Thought I'd try something a little different with this lens.
    Used a
5mm macro tube to shoot a Ranunculus bloom. Tried a B&W conversion with very limited software. SUBNw6Y.
