This little guy will be familiar to some. I often bemoan the passing of the Bluetongue Brewery to non-local hands, and the deterioration in the quality of its alcoholic ginger beer. We still get it on tap but its weaker, not nearly as gingery, and a great disappointment. oh well, at least I still have the glass (from which I drink coke zero, because I can't have ginger beer anymore, anyway :-/).
I don't know whether I'll get many more opportunities to capture these little critters this year, so I'm making the most of these fleeting moments. We have a beautiful sun today, after so much rain and clouds yesterday.
Technically I took this about three minutes before midnight on the 6th, but It was the 7th somewhere in the world already.
Messed around with a candle, macro and high ISO

The sole woman participating in the tractor pull at the Warren Fall Festival - driving her absolutely pristine McCormick Farmall. I wish I could have taken a better photograph of her because she was really photogenic. I may have gotten some with my X10 but haven't looked yet. This shot does not show the huge load of cement blocks (not the kind you build your little shelves with when you are in college) that were on a sledge.
