Sony Odd RX100 behavior

Hall of Famer
I am toying around my LR database, and noticed something very odd.

The lens metadata Sony writes for the RX100 changes on whether it's RAW or JPG

If I shoot in RAW, the lens reports as "28-100mm F1.8-4.9"

If I shoot in JPG, the lens reports as "10.4-37.1mm f/1.8-4.9"

My OCD doesn't like that, but maybe it's not a big deal. Still odd, though.

I've just checked some RX100 Raw and Jpeg files using Faststone Image Viewer (Image Properties).

The EXIF is reporting the actual focal length only for the Raw file, but is reporting the actual and 35mm equivalent focal lengths for the Jpeg.

I don't see this as a problem, but it is a little odd, as you say!

The JPG EXIF contains entries for both focal length and 35mm equivalent- not sure why LR would favor one over the other for JPEG and the other for RAW.

Code:
~/media/photos/2013/100MSDCF$ exif DSC00040.JPG | grep -i focal
Focal Length |10.4 mm
Focal Length in 35mm|28

LR5 reports both the 10.4 and the 35 equ 28 for both the jpg and arw. I checked jpg only, jpg + raw, and raw only and LR5 reports both in all cases. I also have a LR4 version available and it only reports one focal length. So I guess LR5 added the capability to show both.
