One of my favorite scenes I photograph with each new camera, and comparing tonight to previous cameras' captures, the ZS-40 came in second or third technically, but managed to look better than the previous images anyway. f5.5, 4 seconds, ISO 100. As usual I didn't have a tripod handy, so I stood the camera up on end on a concrete post, and rested the lens on my cellphone OtterBox case, plus 3 U.S. quarters used as shims. The lens extension was at 160 mm, dialed with the step-zoom using the lens ring. Minimal crop, but resized from ~4850 pixels high to 3200.
