Sometimes when I'm bored with photography, I just need to grab an old manual focus lens and get down on the floor to shoot the dogs (or cat). Here's a few I like from this morning. Two are Oly art filters, and two are just heavily processed. All four shot with the Pentax Super-Takumar 50mm f1.4 on an Olympus E-M1.

Charlie is enjoying the watching the buds turn into leaves.

Lucy rests peacefully as the new leaves shrink her sunny spot in the front window

f1.4 and the grainy art filter are a guilty pleasure. It makes me feel like I shot film without the headache or expense.

And the dramatic tone filter always seems to match the dramatic look of our psychotic cat Oscar

The first and last are really great. The last one has a lovely juxtaposition of elements. The first one is probably more personal taste. I like those sunny windows with dust on them because that's often the sight I get when I see my pets sitting in the sun.

You should have seen the first shot BEFORE I cleaned the inside of the window. It was just a bunch of gross noseprints. Since I was still in my pajamas, I decided that washing the outside of the windows would wait for another day.
