    hi Chuck,

I placed an order with B&H yesterday, already paid via Paypal. I have some questions:

    1) It took me a couple of hours to put my cart together, researching on the internet and going back and forth selecting and deselecting various items. By the time I finished, I noticed that one of the items in my cart is now listed as 'temporarily unavailable'. The item I wanted to purchase is the "Sandisk 64GB Extreme Pro SDXC UHS-I" with 95MB/s speed. I'd be happy to wait until more stock arrives so that everything can be shipped at the same time. Would it be a long wait?

    2) I am considering replacing the item 'Tascam DR-100mkII' with the 'Tascam DR-60D'. Does the 60D also come with Pluraleyes 3 included like the DR-100? If so, would it be too late to replace the DR-100mkII with the 60D? Happy to pay the balance via Paypal if it is possible.

    3) As I was researching the items and compiling my cart, I was flipping between webpages and tabs, opening and closing various sites. Is my order is linked with Serious Compacts?

    Thanks,

    - James.

    Hello,

Thanks for your order. At this time, the Sandisk 64GB Extreme Pro SDXC UHS-I at the price listed is not available and we are not sure if we'll be getting in more at that price. Our web site lists it as "Limited supply at this price". I was able to find a Sony card which comes close to the Extreme card in terms of Speed and build but not have the Life Time Warranty.

The 64GB SDXC Class 10 UHS-1 Memory Card from Sony features a maximum read speed of 94MB/s and a maximum write speed of 45MB/s with minimum transfer rates of 10MB/s. It is water / dust / X-ray proof, resistant to UV light rays, magnets and static, and capable of withstanding extreme temperatures. Downloadable File Rescue software helps recover photos and videos, including 3D and RAW files, that have been accidentally damaged or deleted.

The Tascam DR-60D does include A FREE Red Giant PluralEyes 3 Audio/Video Sync software. You would need to contact our Customer Service Dept directly to set up a return/exchange. cs@bandh.com

If you had came to our site via the Seroius Compact portal link, the site would be credited with the purchase.

hi Chuck, thanks for your reply.

Thanks for the suggestion for an alternative SD card but the Sony is not in the approved and tested list for use in the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. People using other cards not in the approved list have been reporting dropped frames and/or the SD card not being recognised by the camera when recording raw video footage. So I'm stuck with the Sandisk card for now for raw recording.

Re the Serious Compact portal link, I clicked on the link provided by Amin Sabet in his post above:

    https://www.photographerslounge.org/showthread.php?t=283

But while the link takes me to the B&H Photo website, it actually takes me to: "http://www.bhphotovideo.com/".

Is that right? When I have purchased via other websites, their links take me to a unique identifying web address which shows that anything I purchase is linked to the originating website. That's why I'm not sure if I started compiling my cart from the right tab in my browser because I opened and closed the B&H Photo website several times while looking up various items and researching elsewhere on the net.

When I clicked on Amin's link (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/?BI=1848&KBID=2491) ?BI=1848&KBID=2491 is the tracking marker for your session, there is no portal site just for Serious Compacts. As long as you did not log off while adding items to your cart, the site will be credited with the sale. I regret this is a computerized process and I have little means to check up on this.

hi Chuck, I called B&H and added a couple of more items to the order. I added the items into my cart after clicking on the Amin's link above but the sales person over the phone wasn't sure how the link works and he manually processed my order (as opposed to me processing it from my cart). In fact I don't think it went through my cart at all.

I believe the sales person is going to speak to you about whether Serious Compacts is able to receive credit for my purchases.

The only way to have this site get credit is to place your order on our web site by navigating to us from the link Amin has posted. There is no work around to this, I am sorry.
