Yesterday, I saw the first person to actually use a RX1 in the wild. It was even a RX1R. I told him it was a great camera. He said the Alpha 7 is better.
My informal survey of what cameras people use while travelling has changed. NEX is way up. As in way up. About the same number of people use NEX as a DSLR. There's a handful of people with M43 cameras. A smaller amount of Nikon 1 users. I run into people using a RX100 about 4-5 times a day. Although the lady I spoke to yesterday didn't know what I was talking about when I said RX100. I then said we have the same camera.
