I almost totally disregarded the whole notion because I can't read the gray text against the photo background on that websit. Just highlight it all to see blue text against a white highlit background. These problems shouldn't be happening anymore in the year 2013.
I do agree and legibility is a pet peeve of mine. I particularly dislike "posh" restaurants with low lighting who print their menus in brown ink on
Coffee-coloured paper. I find a large Maglite solves the problem (I am not joking)
By contrast a restaurant near where I live, run by friends of mine offers those fresnel magnifying sheets to read their menus...
