Very good, yes it is.

It's Porthcurno Beach in West Cornwall, not that far from Lands End. It's where early submarine telegraph cables left mainland Britain and set off for the empire - India and Africa and beyond. Quite an amazing technological and logistical achievement in the late 1800s. The copper cables were/are buried under the beach and terminated in the white hut on the left of the picture.

I believe that modern fibre-optic communication cables still come ashore there,.

I took the picture from the Minack Theatre, which is perched on the cliffs above Porthcurno.
