without wishing to detract from the "Flowers" thread, I can't find a "Roses" thread, and they are starting to bloom here in Yurop ... big small yellow red orange blue (yes, really) white macro or whatever ... all welcome ... here's a starter ...

Beautiful.... I may be a streetshooter but I have always taken the time to smell the roses.
I make photos also and will add some to this post later.
    Thanks for starting this thread...

I thought this thread might attract the Surrey Rose herself ... excellent ...

We do seem to photograph similar things I think. I have a love of the Zuiko 50mm 4/3rds lens and continue to seek a worthy recipient of such lens! Awaiting to see what the new Panasonic G3 and the rumoured EP3 will bring :)

    Climbing Rose Bushes

I gave these to my wife in years past as small plants. I planted them by deck poles and here is what they have become as of last month. (Disclaimer for the rose experts: I know nothing about raising roses nor the proper ways to trim climbing roses.)
Both shots were taken with the NEX5, 18-55mm.

    NEX0360.

    NEX0425.
