Another morning greeted by golden light. Next door..... what shall I do on a Saturday morning at 8.30 in -4 degrees, I think I'll get a man in to do some gardening! With a chainsaw

Chained to the house today, so this is just a tree outside. Crisp blue skies outside, so easy to silhouette. My laziest effort with the S95 from this month's SIJ.

I really like that xf27 lens (I have one myself) it's 'only' an f2.8 lens but see how nice/ smooth the out of focus area is rendered?

The sun is out and the daffodils are sprouting. Must mean we'll have a pile of snow next week. X-E1 + Rokkor 24mm/2.8.

It also makes the X-T10 (and the eventual X-T20) a small package which is easy to carry and fits in the pocket of a winter coat. I'm reminded of the Panasonic 20 1.7 which I have on my Pen F. Similar DoF, sharpness, and Bokeh. My favorite focal length range is between 40 and 55.

I really like this. The technical qualities of the image, birds in flight, the man, the snow, etc. make a very pleasing whole

Thank you - and it was the unexpected shot of the outing, too. I was after all the ice needles deposited by the fog.

Very impressive change in approach and mood - great result.

It made me laugh for sure :)

Sunlight reveals the texture of our auto's headrest during a road trip today. I sort of liked the contrast of deep blacks, something the Mono does well.
