Between work and family commitments it is getting harder to to post a photo each day. I am determined to stick with the project but some days the search for a subject often becomes more a point and click than my usual more thoughtful approach. Kind of like speed dating with a camera and Lightroom.

That's a nice shot. Good lighting and textures and that slice of sharpness cutting through the utensils works really well and gives it a 3D look.

You know, that's pretty much the spirit! Most of us have to really steal a moment during a busy day to seize a narrow window of opportunity, and sometimes, only creativity will help you out. Your image is a great example of how well this can work.

Using yesterday's lot - not inspired. There is some satisfaction in getting shape and lighting right.

This is Wolli Creek in South Sydney, one of those places where there was previously marsh land but is now being built up into a residential area which isn't much liked by those that have been around here a long time.

After reading Bill's intro for today I feel like I should have taken a shot of Toby. He's not a terribly willing subject, though... nuts!

Well, the ice storm arrived and completely covered the case windows on our home that face east. A leaf study with window screen and icy window.

I had an appointment this morning with a physician whose entire waiting area and offices are filled with medical memorabilia. This was just one corner. X-E1 + Rokkor 24mm/2.8.

    NOTE: Not an SIJ post.

Ding, ding, ding. You have given the correct answer.
All this rain we've gotten has reached the river. Just 10 meters upstream of this shot is a small dam that was part of the lock system. You see the remains of this lock system along the river as these large, broken concrete structures that are partially dismantled. You can also see the footings of an old bridge in my picture above. The picture below shows the transition from smooth to turbulent as the water runs over this dam.

Great display today, folks - keep 'em coming! Already had a laugh, exclaimed with joy and had a real nasty moment (the doctor's cabinet didn't sit well with me after today's MRI experience ... just kidding ;)).

    Sleepy heads.

Pretty much housebound since what began at the weekend as a cold has turned into a virus leaving me shivering and tired and with a really sore throat.
