It's too hot to do anything so I was sitting under the awning waiting for any birds to come by with this setup (I thought I'd use the S95 to take this shot before its battery ran out).

    IMG_0458 copy.

Legacy lenses on an X-T1 with its perfect sized body and fantastic EVF are what works best for me*, yes, even better than an A7 setup despite the FF/APSC difference. I do this just for fun. I initially envisioned trying out an M Mount adapter as by all accounts, M Mount lenses perform rather well on an X-T1 (although it was the cheaper Zeiss and Noktons I was interested in rather than your Summicrons/Summiluxes etc etc). But with these cheapo Takumar, Nikkor, Canon FD, Pantacon, Minolta, Carl Zeiss Jena and other lenses working so dammed well, I'm figuring what's the point?

What a shame you cant do two things, like and agree. It was too bloody hot here too, so I did not stray far, and certainly went nowhere near the beach.

Ipad editing in ACDSee Pro. A photo of a photo. Its the Minmi pub. I thought I might do. Winter project, photographing the pubs of Newcastle. Theres plenty of 'em :)

Fast wide angle and zoom lenses (for me) and UWA glass, mainly for APS-c sensors and those folks who need it, but then you could go native IF there's something available in the respective lineup. The lack of a faster standard zoom and 18mm in Sony's APS-C e-mount lineup was my main reason for switching to Fuji some years ago but for everything else I use legacy glass as well.
BTW, thanks for the Takumar reminder. I only have a 28/3.5 and 55/1.8 in a box somewhere and really need to take a closer look at what else is there.

Back OT :). Four days to go and I have no car over the weekend :cautious:. Gotta make do with some close-ups or whatever.

Haven't got it but it's supposed to be a good-un and would love to see the results.

Orchid and rain. Today was lovely and bright with definite signs of Spring. Sadly I'm still coughing and spluttering but have ventured out in the car to do errands. So things are on the up. My daughter has nurtured this Orchid and it's coming to life again, no thanks to me!

Went for a bike ride along one of WV's southern rivers in the beautiful but chilly weather. Last thing I expected to find on a trail in the middle of nowhere was a WWII era grave. The grave itself was about 1/2 mile past this sign and to the left up a narrow, steep trail. I wonder if the area was a favorite spot for the young man? X-E1 + Rokkor 24mm/2.8.

I just hit the wall. Taking pics with the SD card still in the PC did it.

Came home at a quarter past one tonight - not because I had partied or anything, but from voluntary work. Was too tired to do any post.:coffee:

It was a very pleasant day for shooting, though - for several reasons; you'll find another hint in the outtakes thread. A seagull on every post; S95, 67mm-e:
    full.
