A very dull day that is shaping up to be wet, so I had to find somewhere with some light on the subject. I wanted some fish so Salcombe Smokies in Kingsbridge was the answer, two smokies and some Pollack please.

Day Thirteen - the wrong time to wake up
This morning before I woke up I was dreaming I had a new super power. I dreamt I had the power to snap photographs of people and zapp the people straight into storage. I only aimed to do this with bad people. Except I wasn’t very good at aiming. Sometimes the people I liked were zapped too. I had only just worked out how to un-zapp them out of storage when my hubby rudely woke me up before I could repair the damage. He was shouting “it’s 11.00 am, it’s 11.00 am”. What can I say, it’s exhausting having super powers!

Very gloomy light today outside, so here’s one from indoors. There are a few of these on the beams, and I wonder what they mean. So much of the ancient carpentry is precise, but these seem crude and violent. Was there a political or religious symbol that had to be removed in a hurry? Whatever they are, they give a very human twist to the 500 years of history of the house.
