Sad day. I never had the camera in question, but I have a 500 CM, made (according to the serial #) around 1982, and it's one I'll keep for good. The V series is pretty much what most of us think of when we think of Hasselblad. I'll never get an H, but I do have hopes of picking up a used digital back for the 500CM on of these days.

I think I'll load it up with HP5 and go out shooting with it tomorrow as a "tip o' my hat" to the whole series. Lovely cameras; and the Zeiss glass is to die for.

I saw this news. Man I'm really disappointed. I've been wanting one for a while, I really like the classic look of it much much better than the H series.

Same here re. wanting one. Probably the closest I'll get was downloading a very high res photo of the 503CW from the Hasselblad website (they suggested it!). Just gorgeous.
