I've had a lot of time lately to sit in the back yard and watch out for coyotes. Not that I'm interested in taking their picture, but more on thinning their ranks some. Took these with my G1/ 45-200 and SLT-A33/ 18-250 Tamron. You can click the lower right of the box to go full screen, only if you have flash enabled.

Ricky, I appreciate your photos..the calmness and serenity of the country and the wild - and domestic - life. I had the pleasure of being in some our our nearby countryside about an hour north of us, yesterday and it did my heart good.

That's not a turkey vulture lying in the bushes is it?

No it's a domestic turkey. The turkeys are the most fun to watch. They are very big, and just hunt around for bugs all day. Dumb as a rock too. I open their door in the morning so they can run around all day and one will always go to the other end of the cage and go back and forth for hours, oblivious to the open door on the other side of the cage. They are also unafraid of humans. You can walk right up to them and pick them up. Try that with a chicken and they freak out and run for their life. Ducks are worse. They run if you get within twenty feet of them.

That's great. I wasn't sure what to expect from the title, but it's not only safe for work, it's a welcome Monday pick-me-up.
