I had a chance to use NX11 together with its kit zoom (18-55 ED OIS II) and the 20mm f/2.8 wide-angle pancake. Here are some shots from the photo walk...

    With 18-55mm lens:

When assessing the image quality, please keep in mind that my NX11 was defective: you can see mild banding in shadows and mid tones even at low ISO.

I like the nice rich colour tones from the Samsung.

    Pavel, thanks.
The Samsung cameras are like under dogs. They shouldn't be. They make a fine machine.
So if your camera was defective, did it get repaired or replaced?
    How was customer service?
Your photos speak loud as to what the camera can do.
Nice job. I'd be interested in seeing more images and thoughts.

Don, it's not exactly mine - it belongs to a friend of mine. He's happy with the quality and doesn't notice any problems. I'd consider this unacceptable, but if he's happy — who am I to spoil the fun?

Your a good friend Pavel. If he doesn't see a problem, it doesn't exist.
There's more in life to worry about.

Thanks for the post, very much appreciated at this time of choosing.

Love the colour rendition - especially

Were these out of camera jpegs or PPed RAWs?

    Thanks again!

Those are RAWs, mostly converted in RPP, but with minimal PP. Sorry, but I don't use JPEG at all so can't comment on JPEG quality.

Nice series, particularly those backlit leaves in the last image.

I agree with Don that the Samsung NX series are something of an underdog in the CSC world. There's not a lot of love for them, but I don't quite understand why. They use an APS-C sensor, with a good selection of lenses and (IMO) have a well designed interface. Admittedly, the high ISO performance of my NX100 isn't spectacular, but that's why I have a 5DII. For general use, I find the NX100 performs really well, especially with the 30mm pancake. I think it's a great camera and I probably love it even more because of its underdog status.

I'm always a little amused when year old threads are revived and the conversation just continues on like there was no passage of time.

btw, I love that butterfly photo, too.
