    Thanks! I had never seen that before. I think it has something to do with the structure of the clouds and how the sunlight reflects off of them.

    Since it occurred with all three cameras, I assume that it is an actual optical phenomena. If it happened with only one camera, I might have thought something weird was going on with the sensor.

    Actually, the top two are from an Olympus OM-D E-M5, the middle two from a Panasonic LX100, and the bottom two from a Panasonic FZ200.
