Tannermoor (Austria)

    At Easter I was hiking through the Tanner Moor, which is one of the largest moorlands in Austria. There is a lovely path leading through a great landscape and thus I had a great day and took many photographs which I like a lot. I am going to post several photographs I took during that hike in the course of this week.

    After driving for about an hour, I arrived at the Tanner Moor. The hike begins at the Rubener Pond, which is a completely unremarkable small pond... if there were no beaver:

    One of the most beautiful passages of the hike lead through a birch wood. This is a absolutely lovely birch wood and one of the most enjoyable woods I know!

    After leaving the mountain pine wood which follows the birch wood, one arrives at an impressive wall of granite. I want to show some details of that stone wall:
