I had a lawn sprinkler like that; I could never get it accurate - the spray always hit the shed

Love that picture pdh. Were you inside at the time or braving the elements?

I took this yesterday morning. Hoping we would get a summer storm, but no. Just hot and dry.

searching for Great Crested Grebe nests

It's not been all rain and wind Paul, this was a pleasant morning earlier in June when I took a boat out on Slapton Ley to check up on nesting Great Crested Grebes. This is a view west looking towards Hartshorn Point where there is a small heronry with Ireland Bay to the right.

I started this thread in a moment of irony, but I have been shamed by all your lovely images ... so here's a lovely image too ... I've "been here" a few times before, as no doubt BB will recognise ...

thanks Kal ... actually another favourite of yours, it's the 20/1.7 @ f/8 ... not quite Leica colour, but the sharpness and contrast is almost there isn't it?

I have nothing but admiration for that 20mm from Panasonic - I used to joke that it was "The little lens that could"
