My wife ran a session for some hair stylists today as they wanted to learn how to style vintage, they asked me to take some photos of the 4 models they used so put the EM1+45mm to work.

I had about 10min with each girl and they were a touch nervous but we got laughing and they loosened up so managed to grab some images I am happy with.

These are samples from each one.

Single Yongnuo YN560 mk 2 through a diffuser and a second one on the background - both fired using a Yongnuo radio trigger on the EM1.

  4. Well done, well lit.

    Thanks,

I would have liked more separation between the model and the background but did not have a room large enough hence the slight shadowing on the background.

I do like those Yongnou flash units - they are superb and the radio trigger works really well on the EM1 - best part, on Amazon they are £39.99 for the mark 3 and the Yongnuo RF 603 radio triggers are just £19.20 for 2 so you have a spare - Great cheap lighting heads with a guide number of 58 (ISO 100).
