Lucky to catch these while waiting for my Glasgow train on Saturday . It was meant to arrive after my train departed. It was a bit of a hurried shot in less than
ideal light.

The latter - I use custom setups, and the one I've generally enabled makes the camera start up with the aperture fully open. I would have got a slightly sharper image at f/4 or f/5.6, that's true, but in a way, the slight vignette and minimal border softness are fitting. The ND filter makes shooting wide open in bright conditions a non-issue - but of course, I should have at least thought about it. Though I might have come to the same conclusion - I like shooting good lenses wide openAny reason you chose the large aperture in this shot ? Or did you just not notice. Like I do now and again ;-)
